...And you find them. Swimming gently amid the ascending pillars of air. The largest one apparently belong to you, but Chihaya and Aya have small pillars of their own; pillars made from small remnants of the summer air, the air that they had cherished and stored in their healthy lungs for such a long time. The pillars giltter, reflecting light from the distant sun.  The girls are continuing to control their breath, exhaling through their clenched teeth at an extremely slow pace, daring themselves, deceitfully telling their bodies that they are can still go on. But their attempts are finally starting to fail. As you observe, occasionally their youthful kicks halt in mid-water, only to resume just moments later. With the kicks gone, their very fit physique tends to lose the momentum and starting to sink, necessitating them to recover the lost distance once emerging from the brief comtemplation.

Though their faces were flush and so are eyes wide with pain - Chihaya and Aya are life and strength, will and deliverance.
God, they are so beautiful.
