Description

Meanwhile, Chihaya seems to be a more introspective, hard-worker type. Aya tells you how good a swimmer Chihaya is (it sounds Chihaya is actually faster than she; maybe she was in competitive swimming) and also how she is super smart and helps her homework all the time (Chihaya's dad is a medical school professor; isn't that a big contrast?), but Chihaya is far from appearing proud or conceited. Apparently she is remarkably fit and also is an astounding beauty for her age, but has an air of humility (if not lack of self-confidence?) that makes her approachable. Her stories tend not to focus on the frontal fun of free diving but more on pushing her limits and prevailing against  her inner self, by diving deeper and longer, e.g. on the joy of extensive breatholding while listening to her own heartbeat in the extreme depths. "I want to hold my breath forever," she says, but then realize that that her comment may have been a bit alienating, blushing and smiling shyly.

You note that you are starting to grow fond of the two girls, which seems to have reciprocally cultivated their positive feelings toward you. Aya stands up and holds your hand, saying that they should now go out to the ocean together.

What next?

A. Go out to the ocean
B. Not go out to the ocean (damn, this drowsiness and jet lag. Might want to get some booze too.)
